Jagan Leads Rally To AP Assembly, Slams Naidu
The YSR Congress president took out a rally of his MLAs from Ravindra Bharathi to the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, and accused Chandrababu Naidu of corruption.
The YSR Congress Party today took out a protest rally from Ravindra Bharathi to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly under the leadership of Party president and the Leader of Opposition Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, before attending the AP Assembly's Budget session that started today.
Jagan said that he had taken out the rally to raise awareness of the AP government's "anti-people" policies.
Addressing his legislators, Jagan said that the TDP government had announced Amaravathi as the new capital city in a pre-planned manner to make huge profits after buying lands around Amaravathi under benami names.
He said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had grabbed fertile lands from poor farmers in the capital region, and was indulging in corrupt activities and cheating, and running a dictatorial rule in Andhra Pradesh.
He also alleged that the Chief Minister was luring YSRCP MLAs by offering Rs 30 crores to each.
Jagan also claimed that Naidu had also cheated the SCs in the capital region. The zonal system in the capital area would help only Naidu's benamis, he said.
The YSR Congress MLAs wore black flags and shouted slogans against the ministers who they alleged had purchased lands around the capital region.
Meanwhile, Chandrababu Naidu paid floral tributes to TDP founder late N T Rama Rao at NTR Ghat on Necklace Road.
