Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on Tuesday left for New Delhi to meet the AICC president Sonia Gandhi.
According to sources, Jagan will use the meeting to seek permission to restart his Odarpu Yatra from July 8 in Srikakulam district.
The Congress MP was accompanied by his mother and Congress MLA Y S Vijayalakshmi, and sister Sharmila, on his trip to the national capital.
Meanwhile, Congress leader Ponnam Prabhakar requested the high command to accord permission to Jagan to restart the Odarpu Yatra.
Talking to media persons, Ponnam said that the son of the former CM was forced to postpone the Odarpu Yatra in the Telangana region due to the volatile situation prevalent at that time.
He added that he wants the help of the media to convey his request to the party high command.
