Jagan Files Quash Petition In Telangana High Court
The AP CM today filed a quash petition in the Telangana High Court in a case of violation of election code in the Huzurabad Assembly constituency against him.
YSRCP supremo and AP Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy today filed a quash petition in the Telangana High Court in connection with a case of violation of election code in the Huzurabad Assembly constituency against him.
For the unversed, in 2014 Reddy had organized a road show in Huzurabad in alleged violation of the election code.
Following a complaint, officials of the Election Commission had registered a case of election code violation.
The trial in the case has been going on in a Nampally court.
The High Court directed the trial court to ensure service of summons to the AP CM by March 31.
Consequently, Reddy has approached the Telangana High Court and filed a quash petition.
Upon perusal, the High Court directed the Nampally court not to conduct the trial till April 26.
