Jagan Probe: 27 Cong MLAs To Quit

Accusing their own party of resorting to political vendetta against Jagan, as many as 27 Congress MLAs have decided to submit their resignations to their posts.
Hyderabad | 21st August 2011
Accusing their own party of resorting to political vendetta against Kadapa MP Jaganmohan Reddy, as many as 27 Congress MLAs have decided to submit their resignations to their posts.

The decision was taken after the MLAs had a meeting at the YSR Congress Party office in Hyderabad on Sunday.

Briefing the media, Congress MLA and former minister Pilli Subhash Chandrabose said that 27 MLAs and 2 MPs have decided to submit their resignations to their posts as well as the party's primary membership.

He said 27 MLAs would go to Speaker Nadendla Manohar chamber on Monday at 11:30am and submit their resignations in the prescribed format, with one line each.

Bose claimed that the Congress was unable to digest the popularity of Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, and that it had failed to limit the political career of his son Jaganmohan Reddy.

Therefore, he said, the party has hatched a conspiracy to end his political career and ordered CBI probe at the behest of the High Court.

He claimed that Jagan is being falsely implicated in the disproportionate assets case.

The MLAs present in the meeting included Gurnath Reddy, Babu Rao, K Satyavathi, Konda Surekha, P Ravi, Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, Jayasudha, Krishna Das, Adinarayana Reddy, Sesha Reddy, K Bharathi, Sucharitha, A Nani, Srinivasulu, Prasad raju, Kapu Ramachandra Reddy, Amarnath reddy, Shobha Nagireddy, Dwarapudi, Balanagireddy and Nallapuneni Prasanna Kumar Reddy.

2 MPs, Mekapati Ramamohan Reddy and Sabbam Hari, have also decided to resign from their posts.

The MLCs will decide their future course on resignations, on Monday. (INN)
