The CPI demands the resignation of Major Industries minister Dr. J Geetha Reddy, as she has been named as one of the accused in Jagan's Disproportionate Assets case.
The Communist Party Of India on Wednesday demanded the resignation of Major Industries minister Dr. J Geetha Reddy from the state Cabinet, as she has been named as one of the accused in the Disproportionate Assets case of YSR Congress party president Jaganmohan Reddy.
Talking to reporters, CPI state secretary K Narayana said that Geetha Reddy should resign from her post on moral grounds. He said that she should quit just as Mopidevi Venkataramana, P Sabitha Indira Reddy and B Dharmana Prasada Rao had after they were named as accused in the CBI's chargesheet.
It may be mentioned here that the CBI, on Tuesday, had named Geetha Reddy as an accused in the chargesheets filed in the CBI court against Indu Techzone and Lepakshi Knowledge Hub. Former minister Dharmana Prasada Rao has also been in the CBI's fresh chargesheet filed in the Lepakshi Knowledge Hub aspect of the quid pro quo dealings.
Both Geetha Reddy and Dharmana Prasada Rao were questioned by the CBI last month about the LKH land allotment, as it was alleged that there was a quid pro quo in the land allotment of 8,848 acres to the Hub. (INN)
