Handlooms & Textiles Minister Shankar Rao continued to embarass Kiran Kumar Reddy's government, when he said that there were many irregularities in the allotment of houses in his constituency.
"There are many irregularities in the allotment of Indiramma houses in my constituency of Secunderabad Cantonment," he told reporters, on Tuesday.
"While 1,520 houses have been sanctioned in my constituency under the Indiramma Housing scheme, there were irregularities in nearly 1,000 houses; I have brought the irregularities to the notice of the Revenue Department and asked them to take stringent action against those who occupy houses illegally," he added.
The minister has been courting controversy for firing members of his party. He has filed cases against Home Minister Sabita Indira Reddy and YSR family members.
When asked to respond to the CBI arrest of Jagati Publications Vice-President and auditor Vijay Sai Reddy, the minister said that "the law would take its course of action".
He said that the law enforcing agency should arrest all those involved in the case of disproportionate assets. (INN)
