Congress MLA Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy, on Tuesday, appealed to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to fill up vacant Minister posts in the Telangana region during the expansion of the state Cabinet, anticipated to happen on 19 January.
In a press statement at the Congress Legislature Party Office, the Bhupalpalle MLA said that 2 ministerial berths are lying vacant due to the resignation of Jupally Krishna Rao and Komatireddy Venkat Reddy.
He also added that there will not be any resentment among the MLAs if the Chief Minister chooses candidates for the seats according to the region.
Further, he asked the Chief Minister to fill up former Agriculture Minister Y S Vivekananda Reddy's seat, from the Rayalaseema region.
However, he maintained that choosing ministerial candidates from the Telangana region should be a priority.
He also condemned reports, that appeared in a section of the media, about the policy differences between the Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana and the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy.
He alleged that the opposition parties have launched a malicious campaign against the government. (INN)
