Youth Felicitated By Cops For Nabbing Chain Thief
Cyberabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar today felicitated B Ganesh Yadav, 25, for helping the cops nab a chain snatcher on April 4.

Cyberabad Commissioner of Police V C Sajjanar today felicitated a youngster named B Ganesh Yadav whose bravery helped the police arrest a criminal recently.
25-year-old Yadav, who is a private sector employee living in R C Puram, had gone to the weekly market in the area in the evening on April 4 when he noticed that an auto-rickshaw was stopping suspiciously close to an elderly lady. The driver of the vehicle then snatched away the lady's chain and fled.
Reports say that following this, the victim, who almost fainted from the shock of the collision, realised that her gold chain. Yadav immediately rushed to the lady's aid, and began to follow the offending driver on his motorbike. He was able to intercept the thief near the ICRISAT junction.
After stopping him, Yadav asked the driver to come out of the vehicle. He had already noticed that the stolen chain was hidden under the driver's seat. Following the confrontation, the brave 25-year-old was able to recover the chain. He then led the driver back to the market.
Meanwhile, the lady's family had already informed the police about the incident. Officials rushed to the spot and took the accused into custody.
Felicitating Yadav, the CP urged the youth of the city to remain alert and to inform the police if they observed any suspicious activities around them. He said that the youth too played an important role in curbing crimes.
"Brave acts like Ganesh's reinforce the positive bond between the police and the youth. These acts also improve peace and public order, Sajjanar said.
