Today the Hyderabad Traffic Police once again facilitated the transport of live organs (lungs) by enabling non-stop movement for the ambulance carrying the organs.
On Friday at 7:28 am, the Hyderabad and Cyberabad Traffic Police coordinated and arranged a green channel for the transportation the organs from the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad, to the KIMS Hospital, Begumpet.
The distance between the airport and the hospital is 36.8 km, and was covered in just 27 minutes thanks to the green channel. The medical team carrying the organs left at 7:28 am from the airport and reached the hospital at 7:55 am.
The efforts of the Hyderabad and Cyberabad Traffic Police in the transportation of the organs were applauded by the management of the hospital, which said that the efforts would help in saving precious lives.
In just 2022, the Hyderabad Traffic Police have facilitated organ transport 16 times.
