Traffic Challans Can Now Be Paid At Post Offices
Cashless enforcement of penalties for traffic violations on the field has been introduced, and post offices too will now accept traffic challan payments.
The Hyderabad Traffic Police on Sunday reiterated that cashless enforcement of penalties for traffic violations on the field had been introduced on a trial basis. That is, the traffic police personnel will not be collecting any fines in cash on the field now.
Also, all the post offices in Hyderabad too will accept payments of pending traffic challans from the people. In addition, payments can be made online - people can visit www.htp.gov.in and click on challan status, or www.echallan.org and enter their vehicle registration number, and if any challans are pending, they can click on the Net Banking icon and pay the challans through debit/credit cards or via net banking, in an easy and simple procedure, for both the commissionerates i. e. Hyderabad and Cyberabad.
The Hyderabad Traffic Police has also developed an Android application for easy challan payments. Users can download the Android APK "E-Challan Telangana" through the Play Store.
Earlier systems of paying the fine amounts at e-Seva / Mee Seva centres, A P Online centers, through State Bank Of Hyderabad / ICICI Bank / Andhra Bank, and at the Traffic Compounding Booth at the Police Control Room are continuing.
