The Rachakonda police have arrested three members of a habitual inter-state gang who indulged in the theft of tyres from a load lorry.
Hyderabad | 22nd February 2022
The Rachakonda police have arrested three members of a habitual inter-state gang indulging in theft of tyres from a loaded lorry, and recovered 152 MRF tyres, a Maruti Ciaz car, an Activa bike, one 8 mm live round, a knife, four mobile phones and cash of Rs 20,000, cumulatively worth Rs 44,72,760, from their possession.

A case (Cr. No. 108/2022) was registered under Sections 394, 506 and 323 read with 34 of the IPC, & Sec 25 (1) of the Indian Arms Act, in the Pahadisharief police station, Rachakonda.

A CCS L B Nagar team along with the Pahadisharief police of the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate made the arrests.

Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat said that on Saturday main offender Jamshed Khan alias Jammi was arrested at the Delhi airport while trying to escape.

A2 Rahil Khan of Haryana and A3 Afroz Ali Khan of Rain Bazaar Chaman, Yakathpura, are absconding.

A4 Syed Basith Hussain of Nehrunagar, Rain Bazar Chaman, and A6 Kamal Kabra of Chudi Bazaar, Begum Bazaar (the receiver), were arrested on Monday.

Elaborating on the incident, the Commissioner said that on February 15 at about 11 pm, the complainant loaded 192 MRF tyres at the MRF Trichy (Radial) plant in Narangal, Perambadur, Tamil Nadu.

Soon Jamsheed Khan and Rahil Khan asked the complainant for a lift saying they were going to Haryana.

On the way the complainant asked his cleaner Sohel to drive the vehicle and went to sleep. When the vehicle reached Tipparthi in Nalgonda district, the offenders threatened Sohel with a firearm, stopped the container by the roadside, tied the hands and legs of the driver and cleaner with ropes and blindfolded them, and beat them up.

The offenders kept the two in the container and roamed around with the container for a while. They then finally stopped at the Thukkuguda ORR and fled with the 192 tyres.

The police, on receipt of the complaint, plunged into action and recovered the property.

The CP appreciated the CCS L B Nagar and the Pahadisharief teams for their work.

He also thanked DCP Tyagi of the Delhi airport for assistance in the arrest of A1 Jamshed.
