The police seized two knives, two Redmi phones, a white Swift Dzire car, and gold and silver ornaments.
The Rajendranagar police, in coordination with the CCS team, today detected a daylight dacoity case and arrested six accused in the crime.
The accused have been identified as:
1. Jibran Bin Jaber, driver, Mailardevpally
2. Mohammed Aqeel, furniture worker, Karwan
3. Mohammed Fasiuddin, carpenter, Humayunnagar
4. Sohail Shah Khan, driver, Vattepally
5. Mohammed Abdul Rub Javeed, driver, Saifiy Colony
6. Mohammed Shabbir, chef, Kalapathar
The police seized two knives used in the the offence, two Redmi mobile phones belonging to the complainant, one white Swift Dzire car used during the offence, and gold and silver ornaments.
According to the police, on April 21, 2025, at around 9:22 am, a dacoity was reported at P&T Colony, Suncity, Gandipet, under the jurisdiction of the Rajendranagar Police Station. Complainant Mohammed Shakir Ali reported that while he and his family were at home, four unidentified individuals knocked on the door, forcibly entered the house, and threatened him and his wife at knifepoint. The accused then broke open the almirah and looted gold and silver ornaments, cash and two mobile phones before fleeing the scene.
During the investigation, it was revealed that Jaber, a relative of the complainant, had prior knowledge about the valuables in the house. He hatched a plan and conspired with the other accused. He also arranged the weapons and a getaway vehicle to execute the crime.
The Rajendranagar Zone DCP appealed to the public to avoid sharing personal or financial details with casual acquaintances or extended relatives, to refrain from storing large quantities of cash or valuables at home, to use secure lockers, and to ensure that all CCTV systems in and around their residences were functional and regularly monitored.
