The Saidabad police have booked cases against multiple former IAS and IPS officers under the Prevention of Atrocities on SC and ST Act.

The police registered cases against former DGP of erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh Dinesh Reddy, L N Raju, and former IAS officers Ratnaprabha, S V Prasad, P K Mohanty and Vidyasagar.

They were booked under Sections 201, 203, 213 and 193 r/w Section 34 and 120B of the IPC and Section 156 (3) of the CrPC.

The case was booked following a directive from a criminal court in Nampally.

The court had issued the directions after a woman named Vatsala filed a private complaint in the court. In her complaint, she alleged that the accused had sent a wrong report to the Union government in a case related to her.

The police have kept the details of the case a secret.
