Trainee Civil Servants Donate Blood At Chiranjeevi Blood Bank
Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan Tej inaugurated the camp, and interacted with the budding IAS, IPS and other civil service officers.

Telugu film actor Ram Charan Tej today inaugurated a blood donation camp conducted by the Social Service Club of the trainee civil servants who are undergoing a special foundation course at the Dr MCR HRD Institute in the city.
The camp was conducted in collaboration with the Chiranjeevi Blood Bank, which was represented by Dr N V Swamy Naidu and a team of medical & para-medical staff at the
camp.
The trainee civil servants, who attended the camp in large numbers, donated 53 units of blood.
Tej, in his inaugural address, said with a sense of pride that the Chiranjeevi Blood Bank since its inception 24 years ago had collected a whopping 9,30,000 units of blood.
He said that blood was quite precious, and that its donation even in small quantities was quite important and noble.
"Spare 15 minutes of your life to give life to three persons in need by donating blood," he said.
Tej also said that he was fascinated by the potential of the All India Services officers to bring about a qualitative change in the lives of the citizens of the country.
"I played the role of an IPS officer in many movies, and hope to continue to do so in the future," he added.
Harpreet Singh, IAS, DG of the institute & Special Chief Secretary, said that despite being a celebrity, Tej always found time for the initiatives aimed at the welfare of the weaker sections of society.
"Sri Ram Charan Tej inherits the traits of humility and simplicity from his illustrious father Chiranjeevi," he added.
