Notorious 61-Year-Old Burglar Held, Booty Seized
The police today arrested a notorious house burglar named Mohammed Ibrahim Siddique, and seized ornaments worth Rs 45,00,000 from his possession.

The Punjagutta police today arrested a notorious house burglar named Mohammed Ibrahim Siddique, and seized gold and diamond ornaments weighing about 753.419 gm and worth Rs 45,00,000 from his possession.
Mohammed Ibrahim Siddique, alias Siddiq, alias Kamal Tiwari, alias Ibrahim Sharif alias Ibrahim alias Ramesh, aged 61, is a native of Ameerpet in Hyderabad, and currently residing in Aurangabad, Maharashtra.
The Panjagutta police received a complaint on April 19 from Sumitra Pampana, a resident of Srinagar colony, that on the intervening night of April 17 and 18, her house was burgled in her absence, and her gold, diamond and silver ornaments were stolen.
The police formed four teams and started investigation. After watching footage of nearly 100 CCTV cameras up to Kukatpally about 7 km from the scene of offence, they apprehended the accused in Ameerpet and interrogated him.
The accused revealed that he was involved in 96 cases in the Hyderabad and Cyberabad commissionerates and other places.
He said that he had been detained under the PD Act twice by the S R Nagar police, and on October 8, 2022, was released from the Cherlapally central prison. He later went to Aurangabad and settled there.
He confessed that in February this year he returned to Hyderabad, and committed a house burglary under the S R Nagar police station limits and stole about 3.5 tolas of gold and two pairs of silver anklets, and sold them in Bidar.
He again came to Hyderabad on April 17, and conducted a recce in the Srinagar colony area for locked houses, found a locked flat on the 5th floor of Capri Towers, broke open the lock with an iron rod in the middle of the night and entered the house, opened iron almirahs in the bedroom, and stole gold, diamond and silver ornaments.
He then boarded an auto at Srinagar colony and fled to Bidar where he handed over about 15 tolas of gold and silver ornaments to a Mohammed Muzammil for disposal, and went to Aurangabad with the remaining ornaments.
When he returned to Ameerpet today to pledge the stolen gold ornaments, the police apprehended him and recovered the stolen gold ornaments from his possession.
