Hyderabad Gets Mobile Health Vans For Slum Areas
Rs. 23.23 lakhs has been donated by the SBI to launch the mobile dispensary which would cater to 500 persons every day in the slum areas of Hyderabad.

Rajnish Kumar, Managing Director (NBG), State Bank of India (SBI), donated Rs. 22.23 lakhs under Corporate Social Responsibility to Dr. Mohammed Rafiuddin, Director, Hyderabad Council of Human Welfare (HCHW) for opening a mobile clinic. CGM Hardayal Prasad GMs Giridhara Kini, Ravindra Pandey and M R Mayya, and R Radha Krishna, DGM & CDO were present during the donation.
The clinic will be on the road next week, and will give medical treatment for 500 persons every day in slum areas at no cost. The mobile dispensary has been reportedly designed to accommodate a reception, a doctors's cabin, a laboratory and a pharmacy store.
It may be recalled that the head office of SBI in Hyderabad has donated a total of Rs. 10.50 crores since April 2015, to various Non-Governmental Organizations for sanitation, health and education. The SBI also adopted seven villages under the Digithon initiative in both the Telugu States. Some 1,400 staff members vowed to donate organs to Jeevandaan, Telangana.
They also donated Rs. 13 lakhs to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund and handed over the cheques to the Governor, recently.
