City Congress Workers Protest Party's Indifference

They said no funds were given to the Congress' Hyderabad Lok Sabha and Assembly constituencies' candidates, and asked if there was a tie-up with the MIM.
Hyderabad | 28th April 2014
Hundreds of Congress workers from Hyderabad on Monday protested strongly against the party's policy of ignoring the Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency.

Nearly 300 workers stopped AICC Secretary (Telangana in-charge) R C Kantala from boarding his car at Gandhi Bhavan.

They alleged that unlike in other constituencies, the Congress party had completely ignored the Hyderabad Lok Sabha candidate.

They said that no party funds were provided to candidates of the Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency and Assembly constituencies falling under it.

They asked Kantala to make it official if the party was having any tie-up with the MIM.

The Congress workers threatened to quit the party if it continued to discriminated against those campaigning for the Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat.

They got angry when Kantala offered to speak to Greater Hyderabad Congress President Danam Nagender over the issue. They said that Nagender was hand-in-glove with the MIM. (INN)
