BRS Leaders Booked For Causing Ruckus At Pocharam's Residence

BRS leaders Balka Suman, Manne Govardhan, Dudimetla Balaraju, Gellu Srinivas Yadav and others were arrested today from the residence of Banswada MLA Pocharam Srinivas Reddy today and a case registered against them under sections 353 and 448 of the IPC.

The Banjara Hills police took them into custody and booked them for obstructing the police on duty, illegal trespassing, and attacking in groups with the motive of trespassing.

As many as 12 BRS leaders were shifted to the Osmania Hospital thereafter for medical examination.

The names of the other leaders who were arrested are Anjaneya Gowda, Kadari Swami Yadav, Tunga Balu, D Raju, King, K Jangayya, Varikuppala Vasu and Chattari Dasharath.

They will be produced before a court by the police after their medical examination.

Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and his son Bhaskar Reddy joined the ruling Congress in the presence of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at Pocharam's house today. The BRS leaders were angry over Srinivas Reddy's switchover to the ruling party, and tried to protest about the same.
