Case To Be Booked Against Organisers Of "Million March"
The police will book a case against the organisers of the "Million March" yesterday against the CAA, for violating the conditions laid down for the protest.
The police will book a case against the organisers of the "Million March" yesterday against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), for violating the conditions laid down before they were granted permission for the protest at Indira Park.
The cases will be booked under the limits of the police stations concerned.
In response to an application submitted by the organizer, Mustaq Mallik of Tehreek-e-Shaban, the police had given permission for the protest from 2 pm to 5 pm at Dharna Chowk near Indira Park, and had informed the organisers that there should not be more than 1,000 people at the programme. Mallik had also given an undertaking to this effect.
However, reportedly more than 10,000 people had assembled to take part in the protest.
