Asaduddin Owaisi Slams Police For Closure Of Petrol Bunks

Hyderabad MP and president of the MIM Asaduddin Owaisi today slammed the Hyderabad Commissioner of Police C V Anand for the closure of petrol bunks in the State capital on the day of Milad-un-Nabi.

He asked the CP why the police had shut down the petrol bunks since Saturday night.

He also asked the CP if he would do the same for the festivals of other religions, and asked the Commissioner what kind of message he was giving the residents of the capital with his act.

Meanwhile, the police imposed traffic restrictions in the city keeping in view the Milad-Un-Nabi festival. The police announced that they would close down all the flyovers for traffic movement except the Begumpet flyover, the Langar Houz flyover, the Dabeerpura flyover, the Lalapet flyover and the PVNR Expressway.

Traffic was diverted at Charminar, the Salarjung Museum, the Falaknuma crossroads, Lal Darwaza, Gulzar House, the Madina Nayapul bridge, the Etebar Chowk, Purani Haveli, Qadri Chaman, Gulam Murtuza Colony and Mogalpura.
