560 kg Of Ganja Seized, Three Arrested, Two Absconding
The arrested persons said that they purchased the ganja at Rs 1,250 per kg and sold it at Rs 20,000 per kg.

Acting on a tip-off in the morning hours, the Shamshabad SOT along with the Rajendranagar police today busted an operation involving marijuana alias ganja trafficking from Chitrakonda agency of Odissa to Amaravathi of Maharashtra via Hyderabad, and nabbed three inter-state drug peddlers from Maharashtra and seized 560 kg of ganja, a car, a DCM van and three mobile phones, worth Rs 1,30,00,000 in all.
The three arrested peddlers were identified as Saleemullah, Shaik Rehan and Shaik Waseem. Another two - accused Naushad of Maharastra and Santhosh of Chitrakonda of Odisha - are absconding.
The ganja was hidden under three tons of potatoes.

The arrests were made under the supervision of M Stephen Raveendra, Commissioner of Police, who said that the efforts of the team involved were highly appreciable, and that they would all be rewarded suitably.
