With it being a holiday, a large number of devotees thronged the temple of Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy in Yadagirigutta today.
Temple authorities said that around 1 lakh people turned up today.
The entire temple complex and its surroundings filled with devotees. They formed serpentine queues around the temple for having a darsan (glimpse) of the presiding deity, and performed pujas and prayed to Him for fulfillment of their wishes and their well-being.
The devotees in the dharma darsan queues needed to wait for three hours for a darsan, and those in special darsan queues had their darsan in half-an-hour.
Devotees also thronged the prasadam sale counters, the Sri Satyanarayana Swamy puja mantapam and the Vishnu pushkarini below the sacred hill, in large numbers. The car parking and bus stands were full, too.
