The Telangana Home Minister urged the new districts panel to keep the Hyderabad district intact, and carve Devarakonda (Nalgonda) into a new district.
Hyderabad | 4th October 2016
Telangana Home Minister N Narsimha Reddy today urged the new districts panel, formed by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, to keep the Hyderabad district intact, and make Devarakonda a new district if that was possible.

Citing on economic and social reasons, the Home Minister submitted a memorandum to the panel chairman K Keshava Rao not to split Hyderabad.

The Home Minister suggested carving Devarakonda (in Nalgonda) into a new district, as Nalgonda was already being split under KCR's orders.
