Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today launched a blistering attack on former Chief Minister and BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao, claiming that he was responsible for looting public money in the name of irrigation projects in Telangana.
Speaking to the media today, Reddy alleged that KCR had done nothing in his 10-year rule other than indulge in corruption.
He also said that KCR had done a lot of injustice to South Telangana, especially to the erstwhile Nalgonda district, during his rule, and accused him of delaying the SLBC project.
Komatireddy also termed former minister and BRS MLA Jagadish Reddy as a killer and a useless person who was made a minister by KCR.
"Jagadish Reddy never reviewed the status of irrigation projects in Nalgonda district, and just accumulated a lot of wealth through dubious means," Komatireddy said.
He vowed that the Congress would obstruct KCR's proposed public meeting in Nalgonda for the injustice he did to the people of the district. He also demanded that KCR tender an unconditional apology to the people of Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar and Khammam districts for failing to provide irrigation facilities during his tenure.
Komatireddy also said that the BRS would not even recover its deposits in the Nalgonda and Bhongir Lok Sabha constituencies in the upcoming elections, due to its corruption and failures.
