The HMWSSB (Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply And Sewage Board) Managing Director, J Syamala Rao (an IAS officer), conducted the board's maiden video conference with chief general managers (Engg.) and general managers (Engg.) of the O & M Wing from the head office, in Khairatabad on Monday.
The video conference was organized to confer with the CGMs(E) & GMs(E) seated in different selected offices of the HMWSSB.
The managing director observed that video-conferencing would reduce the time spent travelling, and can be used for effective communication among the officers of the HMWSSB.
The managing director reviewed the performance of the tankers in all the O&M Divisions. He instructed the general managers (E) to ensure the customers receive the tanker within one day.
He also reviewed the drilling of power borewells according to the sequence of constituencies. The managing director instructed the CGMs(E) and GMs(E) to be in contact with the concerned MLAs and to complete the drilling of power borewells as quickly as possible.
The managing director also reviewed the performance of the Revenue department, and the status of rain-water-harvesting structures according to the divisions that they are located in.
The video conference was attended by officials like M Satyanaryana (Managing Director), P Manohar Babu (Director of operations), and D S Rami Reddy (technical director). (INN)
