HMWSSB's Praja Vaani Successful: ED
Many complaints were regarding billing disputes, one-time settlement, new water connections, change of name, metering disputes and drainage problems.

As many as 54 of the 95 complaints received by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board during its Praja Vaani program were solved on the spot, while the rest would be solved soon, stated the water Boards executive director K Ashok Reddy, on Monday.
Ashok Reddy said that the main objective of the Praja Vaani program is to act as a bridge between the consumers and the Water Board, by facilitating direct interaction between top officials and the consumers so that their woes can be redressed at the earliest.
The 95 complaints were received at Khairatabad, Board Office, from all parts of GHMC, including Azampura, SR Nagar, Suraram, Gunfoundry, Marredpally, Tarnaka, Serilingampally, Noor Khan Bazaar, Jubilee Hills, and Kukatpally.
Ashok Kumar revealed that most of the complaints were regarding billing disputes, one-time settlement, new water connections, change of name, metering disputes and drainage problems.
The Praja Vaani program is now being organised in all Operations & Maintenance Divisions, for the convenience of the public.
