HC Adjourns YSRCP's Meeting Plea Hearing

The AP high court adjourns the hearing on a petition filed by the YSR Congress party (seeking permission to conduct a Samaikyandhra meet in Hyderabad), to Tuesday.

The Andhra Pradesh high court adjourned the hearing on a petition filed by the YSR Congress party, seeking permission to conduct a public Samaikyandhra meeting in Hyderabad, to Tuesday.

The high court, which heard the case on Monday, asked the Hyderabad city police to file its counter petition. However, police sought time to do so. Therefore, the court adjourned the next hearing of the case to Tuesday.

It may be mentioned that the city police had denied permission to YSRCP to conduct a meeting on October 19 at L B Stadium. The police justified the rejection on the grounds of a "possible law and order problem". Following this denial, the YSRCP approached the high court. (INN)
