Cyclone Michaung: Red Alert Issued For Telangana
The State capital Hyderabad is likely to get light and moderate rains for the next two days.

With Cyclone Michaung barreling towards the southern Andhra Pradesh coast, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday issued a red alert for parts of Telangana, too.
The IMD said that the cyclone was expected to make landfall between Nellore and Machilipatnam, near Bapatla, on Tuesday, and that with the cyclone moving closer to the coast, more impact was expected in Telangana now. Nalgonda, Suryapet, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Bhadradri-Kothagudem, Yadadri-Bhongir, Warangal and Mulugu districts would receive rains from Monday night, that would turn to moderate-heavy rains on Tuesday.
Anticipating high severity, the IMD issued a red alert cautioning that Telangana was likely to get isolated rains from heavy to very heavy intensity with extremely heavy falls (above 204.4 mm) on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the State capital, Hyderabad, is likely to get light and moderate rains for the next two days.
