The State capital turned cool today due to a sudden change in the weather conditions.
Many city residents, who were getting out lesser due to the rising heat over the last couple of days, came out of their homes and enjoyed the cool breezes.
Some parts of the city also witnessed rains coupled with thunderstorms.
The Sangareddy district saw a downpour. Several low-lying areas and streets of Sangareddy town were inundated with flood waters and caused problems for the local people. Lightening struck Badampet village under Kohir mandal of the district. Many areas of the district also witnessed power cuts due to the downpour.
The weather department had already announced that the State would witness rains from March 15 to 18.
