All the national and state highways in Andhra Pradesh were flooded by heavy rains for two hours - from 6 am to 8 am - today bringing normal life to a standstill.
Heavy rains lashed several districts in the state disrupting vehicular traffic movement to several villages and inundating standing crops. Visakhapatnam, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Chittoor and Anantapur districts were seriuosly impacted for the last 24 hours under the influence of upper air circulation. Rain waters inundated the roads, with even major centres like Benz Circle in Vijayawada getting choked. The worst affected were school- and college-going students.
