Alleging that all departments had weakened under the TRS rule, Congress leader and former Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah claimed that the Health department officials failed to respond on the news of patients facing hardships in Telangana's hospitals every day.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday, Lakshmaiah said that several patients were dying at Sarojini Devi, Niloufer, and Gandhi hospitals due to scant facilities and lack of working medical equipment.
He also stressed the need for the government to focus on improving the "health" of the Health department.
He suggested that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao start off by examining the facilities in government hospitals at Gajwel itself.
