Elaborate security arrangements have been made for the Hanuman Jayanthi rally to be held in Hyderabad on Thursday.
Talking to reporters on Wednesday, City Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma said that the 20-km Shobha Yatra would be held from Ram Mandir at Gowliguda to Hanuman Temple at Tadbund.
Traffic restrictions have been imposed in view of the rally, and people have been asked to take alternate routes to avoid inconvenience.
Besides the city police force, 10 Additional DCPs, 12 DSPs, 16 inspectors, 16 sub-inspectors, 60 head constables, 550 police constables, 88 platoons of APSP and four companies of the Rapid Action Force have been deployed.
The Police Commissioner has sought the cooperation of the general public for the smooth and peaceful conduct of rally. (INN)
