Congress MP Gutta Sukhender Reddy on Sunday asked the Communist Party of India (Marxist) to clarify its stand on Telangana.
Talking to reporters in Miryalguda, Gutta said that the CPI (M) had earlier stated that it was not against the formation of the Telangana state.
He added, "However, the CPI (M) State Secretary, B V Raghavulu, had announced that his party would oppose the Telangana resolution in the State Legislative Assembly."
He asked the CPI (M) to specify its stand on the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
The Nalgonda MP also condemned the reports of a possible alliance between the CPI (M) and the YSR Congress Party.
He said that the CPI (M), which claims to be against corruption was exploring a tie-up with a party whose president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy was arrested by the CBI on the serious charges of corruption. (INN)
