Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday assured that the State government would review all the cases that were registered during the Telangana statehood agitation.
Speaking in the Telangana State Legislative Assembly in Hyderabad, KCR said that he would consult the Advocate General about the possibilities of withdrawing the cases.
Similarly, the Central government would be asked to withdraw the cases booked by the Railway Police during the Rail Roko agitation.
KCR said that he himself was facing as many as 489 cases that were registered during the statehood agitation. He said that 9 cases were booked against him in just 1 day, in different police stations. Shockingly, the time of offence mentioned in all the FIRs was the same, which itself showed that the cases were false in nature. (INN)
