Alluri Inspired Me To Take Forward Telangana Movement: KCR
The Telangana CM addresses the closing ceremony of the 125th birth anniversary of Alluri Seetharamaraju at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad.

Quoting the Bhagavad Gita's saying that in times where the oppression and exploitation of people increased tremendously divine incarnations were born, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today said that this was really the case with Alluri Seetharamaraju, who at the young age of 26 shook the British empire.
The Chief Minister said that Alluri had ignited a fierceness in the Indian freedom fight, and that he (KCR) got a lot of inspiration for the Telangana movement by listening to songs that expressed the spirit of Alluri.
Addressing the closing ceremony of the 125th birth anniversary of Alluri at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, the CM said that Alluri's name would forever live in history along with those of great heroes like Bhagat Singh who fought for the freedom of the country.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister appreciated the representatives of the Kshatriya Seva Samithi for organising the 125th birth anniversary celebrations of Alluri.
President Droupadi Murmu took part as the chief guest in the program. Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, union minister G Kishan Reddy, State ministers and others were present.
Earlier in the day, President Murmu arrived in Hyderabad to participate in the ceremony. The Governor, the Chief Minister, ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Chamakura Malla Reddy, Sabitha Indra Reddy, Satyavathi Rathod and Mahmood Ali, MP Joginapalli Santosh Kumar, MLAs Jeevan Reddy and Kaleru Venkatesh, MLCs Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Naveen and Shambhipur Raju, Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, DGP Anjani Kumar and others accorded a grand welcome to the President at the Hakimpet Airforce Station.
