The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has finalised a list of things-to-do during the 3rd phase of the Telangana agitation that will be launched on May 14th, and is raring to go.
The 3rd phase will be kickstarted by rasta rokos on the 14th, and dharnas will be staged outside mandal level offices and collectorates on the 19th and the 25th of May, respectively.
A public gathering of students in support of Telangana statehood will be held on the 23rd, and a state-wide rail roko has been scheduled for the 30th of this month.
The TRS also hinted at the possibility of its members conducting numerous flash strikes this month.
TRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao stated that YSR Congress Party President Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, Chief Minister Kiram Kumar Reddy and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu would not be allowed to enter Telangana unless they make their stand on the Telangana issue clear. He asserted that no supporter of Samaikya Andhra would be permitted to enter Telangana.
The TRS also demanded that the blueprint of the Hyderabad Metro Rail project be redesigned as the present layout "threatens to affect the Sultan Bazar market, a place of historical importance."
KCR expressed confidence that the 3rd wave of Telangana agitations will mount enough pressure on the government to introduce the Telangana Bill in Parliament.
