TRS Working President and popularly acknowledged no. 2 in Telangana K T Rama Rao today said that the State government should take action against those who were responsible for the Intermediate results fiasco and the suicides by several students due to failing in the examinations.
KTR replied to multiple questions asked by citizens on Twitter today, and suggested action against Globarena Technologies and Board of Intermediate Education officials for the lapses in the results.
"Being a parent, I am aware of the pain of losing children," he said, adding he would urge the State government to take stern action against those responsible for entire debacle in the Intermediate results.
The former minister refuted media reports of his support to Globarena and sought action as per the recommendations made by the three-member committee appointed by the State government.
Asked whether the Board of Intermediate Education management would be fired for the chaos in the results and the suicides by some 20 students, KTR said that it was for the State government to take a decision.
When a person asked why he was intervening in government affairs without any constitutional post or power, KTR said that as an elected representative he can request the officers to take action on public issues.
He also said that the government was completely engaged in development programs. "Our focus is on providing world-class facilities and infrastructure in the city, including underground drainage in five years. The government will also check the corruption in the revenue or municipal wings by bringing in suitable Acts," KTR said.
To other queries, KTR said that he did not watch the interview of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, but that Kumar's pink pants were good.
