The state government has accorded administrative sanction for an amount of Rs. 430.98 crore to various departments from the State Disaster Response Fund towards relief assistance for the losses caused by heavy rains and floods, and cyclone Jal.
Out of Rs. 430.98 crore, the agriculture department has been sanctioned an amount Rs. 170.77 crore, while the horticulture department has been given Rs. 1.87 crore. The animal husbandry department has been sanctioned Rs. 15.88 crore, while the fisheries department was given Rs. 1.84 crore.
The government released Rs. 1 lakh for the sericulture department, while the handlooms and textiles department received Rs. 3.85 crore.
The roads and buildings department will get Rs. 50.10 crore, and the rural water supply department will get Rs. 7.84 crore.
The irrigation department has been given Rs. 16.56 crore, while the health department will get Rs. 2.57 crore. The panchayat raj department has been given Rs. 89.73 crore, and the municipal administration department will get Rs 61.13 crore as relief to damaged houses.
The District Collectors will get Rs. 8.83 crore. The government directed the District Collectors, who had drawn the amount already under TR-27 and distributed the same to the beneficiaries of fully damaged and severely damaged houses, not to draw the amount now sanctioned.
The District Collectors, who have not drawn the amounts for distributing to beneficiaries of fully damaged and severely damaged houses under TR- 27, could alone draw the amount and disburse to the affected people, and will have to submit a detailed report.
