Govt Not Concerned With MIM And TRS Arrests: CM

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has said that there was no need for the government to be vindictive.

In reply to remarks made by MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owasi that those who oppose Congress will be put in jail, the CM said, "We have gained nothing from putting the Owaisi brothers in jail, and the government is in no way concerned with it". He added that it is not fair on Akbar's part to "put his own words in others' mouth".

Earlier, Akbaruddin had said that he was not scared of the cases. There is no protection for Muslim women, he said, and affirmed that he did not indulge in any anti-national activity. He said that cases were foisted on TRS as it has moved the no confidence motion in the assembly. (INN)
