Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar today alleged that the State government had deliberately diluted the two hate speech cases filed against AIMIM floor leader in the Assembly Akbaruddin Owaisi in 2012.
Claiming that he was shocked to learn about the acquittal of Owaisi, who had made highly provocative speeches, he said that the acquittal of Owaisi was a classic example that the TRS, the Congress and the AIMIM were secret partners in the State.
Kumar demanded that the State government appeal the acquittal order of the Special Court for MLAs and MPs. He asserted that he was not casting any aspersions on the special court, and that he was merely saying that the State government had failed to submit the requisite proof to the court for the conviction of Owaisi.
He added that it was a habit of the AIMIM to consort with the ruling parties, and that it was paying off. However, the people would teach a befitting lesson to the Congress, the TRS and the AIMIM, he said.
