Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today inaugurated the Gopanpally flyover in the city.
The flyover, constructed at a cost of Rs 28.5 crore by the R&B department, has two exit ramps. One facilitates one-way traffic flow from Gowlidoddi towards Nallagandla covering 430 metres, and the other from Gowlioddi towards Tellapur covering 550 metres.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the State government was committed to promoting Hyderabad as a cosmopolitan city, and appealed to the people to extend their cooperation to developing the State capital as an international city in the next ten years.
He said that the State government had envisaged plans to develop the Musi river into a beautiful tourist destination on the lines of the Thames river in London, and that works at a cost of Rs 1.5 lakh crore for the project would start soon, aimed at attracting tourists from around the world in the next five years.
"The Musi Riverfront Development project will be taken up in such a way that the people will remember this government forever," Reddy said.
The Chief Minister also promised that the State government would take up the rapid development of Serilingampally in the days to come.
Ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy and other elected representatives were present.
