Nalgonda X Roads - Owaisi Junction Corridor By April

GHMC Commissioner R V Karnan today reviewed the progress of works on the comprehensive development corridor from Nalgonda X Roads via Saidabad and IS Sadan to the Owaisi Junction.

The corridor is being developed to ease traffic congestion in South Hyderabad.

The project comprises a 2,530-metre-long main flyover being executed at an estimated cost of Rs 620 crore under the EPC/turnkey mode. Officials informed the Commissioner that nearly 80% of the work had been completed.

During a field-level inspection, the Commissioner instructed the engineers and contractors involved to expedite the remaining work and ensure that the corridor was made operational by April 2026.

He directed officials to obtain the necessary traffic diversion permissions for the critical stretch between Saidabad and the Dhobighat Junction to facilitate uninterrupted progress.

Karnan also instructed the officials to complete land acquisition for service roads at the earliest to enable smooth traffic flow once the corridor was opened to the public.

Charminar Zonal Commissioner Srinivas Reddy, Executive Engineer B Gopal and other senior GHMC officials were present during the inspection.
