Demanding suspension of Kushaiguda Circle Inspector T Manohar Reddy for misbehaving with girls during a protest on Hyderabad Liberation Day, a girl student knocked the doors of State Human Rights Commission on Saturday, seeking justice.
Admitting the petition of the B Tech girl, SHRC interim chairman K Peda Peri Reddy told the Director General of Police K Aravinda Rao to submit a comprehensive report on the entire incident before the Commission by September 27th.
In her complaint, the victim stated that the Circle Inspector had misbehaved with the girls and had used foul language. She sought his suspension from duties and the initiation of disciplinary action against the Inspector.
The Commission will initiate action based on the submission of DGP report.
According to reports, the CI had put his hand on the girl's waist and pushed her away during the flag-hoisting ceremony being conducted at the sub-registrar's office in Kushaiguda to mark Hyderabad Liberation Day.
Meanwhile, representatives of the Bharatiya Janata Party and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarti Parishad also filed petitions seeking the SHRC's intervention in the case.
