The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has constructed a baby swimming pool at Amberpet at a cost of Rs. 144 lakhs.
The baby swimming pool has been constructed on a plot area of about 4,000 sq. meters, while the training pool is 50' x 25' in size, and of depth 3' - 4'. The baby pool size is 15' x 15', and of depth 2'.
About 300 children can visit the swimming pool every day. Separate changing rooms have been arranged for boys and girls in the premises of the swimming pool.
A filtration plant and machinery, as also an office room, have also been provided for the convenience of the participants.
The GHMC has also laid an approach CC road from the main road to the building. A separate parking area for four- and two-wheelers over an area of 900 sq. meters has been provided.
Finance Minister Etela Rajender and Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna will be inaugurating the swimming pool on Saturday. (INN)
