Continuing the demolition drive that was ordered by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to raze illegal settlements along stormwater drains in Hyderabad, the GHMC authorities, in cooperation with the police and the town-planning departments, have razed nearly 160 unauthorized constructions in the city on Thursday.
The demolition squads pulled down several structures including 15 in the East Zone, 30 in the South Zone, 10 in the Central Zone, 54 in the West Zone and 30 in the North Zone of the city.
A total of 612 unlawful structures have been demolished so far during the past four days.
