The CBI on Tuesday shifted all the cash, gold and key documents seized from the homes of former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy and OMC MD B Srinivas Reddy in Bellary and Bangalore, to Hyderabad.
The officials shifted Rs. 3 crore cash and 30 kg gold seized at Gali Janardhan Reddy's residence, in 4 suitcases, to the CBI office at Koti.
Rs. 1.5 crore in cash and jewellery and other key documents seized at the residence of Srinivas Reddy were also brought to theb Koti office.
The CBI officials used 3 vehicles for shifting all the seized property to Hyderabad. The officials also shifted records related to the storage of iron ore at various ports.
According to sources, the seized documents contain vital information about the alleged illegal iron ore mining activities run by Gali and his associates.
The officials continued their raids at Parijatha Apartment in Bangalore, the residence of Gali Janardhan Reddy's wife. The officials also seized Gali's cars, which were all worth around Rs. 15 crore.
The CBI officials submitted a report on cash and key documents to Income Tax officials.
Meanwhile Rayadurgam MLA Kapu Ramachandra Reddy met Gali Janardhan Reddy at Chanchalguda Jail after taking special permission from jail officials. He refused to speak to the media after the meeting, and left the place in a hurry.
According to sources, Ramachandra Reddy came to Chanchalguda Jail along with the brothers of Srinivasa Reddy and lawyers. (INN)
