Anti Corruption Bureau sleuths, on Monday, arrested rowdy-sheeter Yadagiri, who allegedly brokered the cash-for-bail deal between the CBI first additional special judge T Pattabhirama Rao and Gali Janardhana Reddy.
Arresting Yadagiri in Kurnool, the ACB officials also conducted raids at his house in Nacharam in Hyderabad, and recovered Rs. 2.25 crore in cash, valuable documents and other materials in connection with the deal. It may be mentioned that Yadagiri was absconding ever since the cash-for-bail scam come to light.
The ACB has already arrested retired judge P V Chalapathi Rao and Pattabhirama Rao's son T Ravi in the case, and seized Rs. 1.6 crore of cash from their possession.
According to the ACB, a Rs. 5 crore deal was settled for the release of Gali Janardhan Reddy on bail, and Yadagiri allegedly played a crucial role in this regard. (INN)
