Gali Scam: Ramireddy Sent To Jail
Ramireddy, a relative of Gali, had allegedly supplied crores of rupees as bribes to judges and others for getting bail granted to Gali Janardhan Reddy.
The ACB court, on Sunday, remanded Dasaratha Ramireddy, a close relative of former Karnataka minister and mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy, to judicial custody till 4 August, in the cash-for-bail scam.
The ACB judge remanded Dasaratha Ramireddy to custody after ACB officials produced him at his residence after his arrest in Tirupati on Friday night.
Following directions from the judge, the officials shifted him to Cherlapally Central Jail. Ramireddy is the third accused in the cash-for-bail scam involving Gali Janardhan Reddy.
According to the ACB, Dasaratha Ramireddy was arrested in Tirupati on Friday, and brought to Hyderabad on Saturday.
ACB sleuths said that the accused had allegedly supplied crores of rupees as bribes to judges and others for getting bail granted to Gali Janardhan Reddy.
During the ACB?s interrogation, he reportedly confessed that he had made a Rs. 100 crore offer to get the bail granted, and pooled funds for the same. (INN)
