Hyderabad | 20th October 2024
Andhra Pradesh Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar today said that one of the pre-election Super Six guarantees of the coalition ruling AP, free gas cylinders, would be implemented from the upcoming Diwali festival.

The minister participated in a village festival organized at Sangam Jagarlamudi village of Tenali mandal of Guntur district and laid the foundation stones for many development works. Speaking on the occasion, Manohar said that despite many financial difficulties, CM Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan were firm about implementing the promises made by them before the Assembly elections.

He said that there were 1.4 crore ration card holders in the State, and that every family would be provided three gas cylinders per year free of cost. He said that the scheme would cost Rs 3,000 crore per year.

He added that the approval for the scheme would be taken in the next cabinet meeting.
