PCC President D Srinivas on Saturday instructed the members of the Flagship Programme Monitoring Committees (FPMCs) to submit their reports before April 13th.
Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President D Srinivas on Saturday said that the members of the Flagship Programme Monitoring Committees (FPMCs) should submit a comprehensive report, with photographs, before April 13th, 2011. The members should complete their work before April 10th, he added.
Speaking to mediapersons at Gandhi Bhavan after reviewing the performance of the FPMCs, Srinivas said that the committees were formed to monitor the implementation of the government welfare schemes.
When asked if the committees would obstruct the works being undertaken by government employees, Srinivas assured that the committees will not cause any hindrance to the government employees' flow of work.
Incidentally, the review meeting on Saturday was the first after the formation of the monitoring committees.
Earlier, the PCC had ordered the committees to gather feedback from the DCC/CCC coordinators and other independent sources on the developments, and formulate monthly reports on the specific schemes.
The implementation of the schemes will be reviewed at the district meetings every month. Efforts are being made to provide the Congress leaders with enough arsenal to rebut the allegations on the schemes, levelled by the opposition party leaders.
The setting up of the said committees was on the orders of the High Command. The PCC will have to take these committees to the district and mandal levels after observing their performances for around 3-4 months.
Srinivas said that the observations of the committee on specific issues would be communicated to concerned ministers of the central government. (INN)
